What is non-functional Testing?
Non-functional testing refers to the evaluation of a software application’s attributes or characteristics that are not related to its specific functionalities or features. Unlike functional testing, which focuses on testing what the software does, non-functional testing focuses on how well the software performs under various conditions. Non-functional testing assesses qualities such as performance, reliability, scalability, usability, security, and compatibility. It aims to ensure that the software meets quality standards in areas beyond its basic functionality, thereby enhancing user experience and satisfaction. Examples of non-functional testing include load testing, stress testing, security testing, usability testing, and reliability testing.
